News EMS Environmental, Inc. forms new Green Solutions GroupSeptember 17, 2007 - EMS Environmental, Inc., an environmental consulting and engineering firm headquartered in Bethlehem, PA with offices throughout the eastern US, announces the formation of the Green Solutions Group. The Green Solutions Group was formed to help businesses improve their environmental footprint while saving money on energy, resources and waste costs. The new Green Solutions Group works with businesses to couple cost reductions with improved efficiencies and local renewable energy generation and focuses on a business's processes to reduce its resource requirements and waste stream. With rising energy costs and environmental concerns, EMS Environmental can now assist with better environmental planning and process improvements as well as responsible compliance with environmental regulations and waste clean-up. Allan Blanchard, President of EMS Environmental, stated that it is important for businesses to recognize that reducing a business's environmental footprint is not only necessary to be a responsible business, but businesses can also save money, giving them a more competitive advantage in the future, as energy, water and other resources and waste disposal costs continue to rise at an increasing rate. Phil Jones, Vice President in charge of the Green Solutions Group, is spearheading the drive to establish measures and standards, as businesses work to reduce costs and environmental impacts. EMS has developed a Green Footprint Analysis to provide businesses with a realistic indicator of their environmental footprint. The results of the Green Footprint Analysis are used as a framework for discovering opportunities for improvements prioritized by greatest reduction to operating costs and impact to the environment. Proactive measurable efforts by businesses will reduce exposure to future regulations and potentially more costly remediation while reducing their costs and improving their market position now. The Green Solutions Group of EMS Environmental was formed to address that opportunity. For more information,
